Updated October 4, 2026: Added tip-off, viewing and listening information.

Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Yaxel Lendeborg, Draymond Green and Al Horford will start Golden State’s preseason opener against the LA Clippers, according to Luca Evans’ account of Steve Kerr’s October 1 remarks in Laie, Hawaii.

The choice is for Sunday’s exhibition. Kerr left the regular-season starting lineup unresolved.

Evans reported that Kerr cited Horford’s age and minutes as considerations when discussing the regular-season decision.

Where they will play

Official Clippers game information places the October 4 game at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

October 4 tip-off and viewing options

Tip-off in Honolulu is scheduled for 1 p.m. HST (4 p.m. PDT / 7 p.m. EDT). The Clippers list the October 4 exhibition on NBA League Pass in their October 1 broadcast announcement.

League Pass is a subscription streaming service. Availability depends on the viewer’s country and package. Live-game blackouts can apply in the United States and Canada; check the blackout rules and country restrictions before purchasing. The listing does not guarantee access in every territory.

For radio, the Warriors list 95.7 The Game for every preseason game, with audio also available through the Golden State app and Warriors Audio Network.

KTLA’s Clippers preseason television coverage begins October 14 against Denver, rather than with this opener.

The wider starting competition

In his report from the September 30 camp session, Dalton Johnson described an open competition for the three starting places alongside Curry and Green.

In Johnson’s report, De’Anthony Melton said his priority was accumulating wins, regardless of whether he started or came off the bench. That Wednesday report preceded Kerr’s selection for the first exhibition.
