Rockets 2026-27 promo schedule: Dunkstronaut bobblehead, Space City Saturdays and Opening Night towel

HOUSTON — Oct. 15, 2026 — The Rockets open Toyota Center on Wednesday, Oct. 21 against Dallas at 7:30 p.m. CT, and every fan in the building that night gets a ketchup-and-mustard-colored rally towel tied to the debut of the team’s new uniforms.

That home opener is the start of a full promotional calendar the team announced for 2026-27: Red Rush 90 at every home game, three bobbleheads including a Dunkstronaut night, four Space City Saturdays on the new Dunkstronaut court, five Kid Days, cultural Celebration Nights and several ticket packages with exclusive items.

Red Rush 90 every home night

Red Rush 90, which began as a limited pregame window last season, now covers every Rockets home date. From doors until tipoff, fans wearing Rockets gear get 50% off Michelob ULTRA and domestic beers, Pepsi products, hot dogs, popcorn and pretzels. The opener doors are listed for 6 p.m. CT with tip at 7:30.

Three bobbleheads and the Dunkstronaut

The first 5,000 fans in attendance receive a bobblehead on three nights:

• Tue, Dec. 1 vs. Toronto, 7:30 p.m. CT: Fred VanVleet bobblehead, presented by Memorial Hermann
• Wed, Dec. 16 vs. Milwaukee, 7:30 p.m. CT: Rudy Tomjanovich “Rudy T’s Diner” bobblehead, with the Hall of Famer holding two championship trophies
• Fri, Jan. 15 vs. Washington, 7:30 p.m. CT: Dunkstronaut bobblehead, presented by Toyota, as part of a space-themed night

Other giveaways include a Rockets bolo tie on Rodeo Night (Fri, Jan. 29 vs. Orlando), a Houston Comets T-shirt for every fan on Wed, April 7 vs. Sacramento marking the WNBA club’s 2027 return, and a Rockets Yearbook for the first 5,000 on Fan Appreciation Night Fri, April 9 vs. Portland.

Space City Saturdays and Kid Days

Four Space City Saturdays put the Rockets in black Statement Edition uniforms on the Dunkstronaut court: Sat, Oct. 31 vs. Oklahoma City (Halloween Fan Fest at Root Memorial Park), Sat, Nov. 28 vs. Philadelphia, Sat, Jan. 16 vs. Detroit and Sat, March 13 vs. Indiana.

Five early Sunday Kid Days hand giveaways to the first 5,000 children 12 and under: Dec. 27 vs. Oklahoma City (PAW Patrol socks), Jan. 3 vs. Cleveland (Clutch beanie), Feb. 14 vs. Denver (Clutch lunch bag), March 28 vs. the Lakers (Clutch ears headband) and April 4 vs. Chicago (mini-Clutch plush keychain).

Ticket packages and Celebration Nights

Select games sell ticket bundles with exclusive items: a limited-edition bucket hat on Filipino Heritage Night (Mon, Oct. 26 vs. Atlanta), a commemorative jersey for the Space Jam 30th anniversary (Mon, Nov. 23 vs. the Clippers) and a plush Hello Kitty bag charm on Hello Kitty Night presented by Eva Air (Sun, Feb. 28 vs. Miami).

What to know before you buy

Game tickets and the special ticket packages are sold through Rockets.com and Toyota Center. Bobbleheads and most other giveaways are limited to the first 5,000 fans unless the team says otherwise for that night. Red Rush 90 discounts apply in the pregame window for fans in Rockets gear.

Houston also plays an NBA Cup group game at Toyota Center against Utah on Friday, Nov. 13, and hosts Phoenix on Nov. 25 in Cup play. Those Cup dates are separate from the Space City Saturday and Celebration Night slate above.

The Rockets tip the regular season at home against Dallas six days from now, then host Atlanta on Oct. 26 for Filipino Heritage Night before the Halloween Space City Saturday against the Thunder.
