Tuesday’s preseason slate produced plenty worth watching again, from Austin Reaves’ scoring burst in Las Vegas to Deni Avdija carrying Portland to a third straight exhibition win. These are the full clips the NBA posted from the night, with the context behind each one.
Reaves gets hot in Las Vegas
Reaves had 23 points by halftime and finished with 28 on 10-of-15 shooting. The Lakers led 63-50 at the break, but Golden State came back to win 101-89.
Mamukelashvili’s reverse slam
Sandro Mamukelashvili produced the loudest moment of the first half, driving past the defense and finishing with a reverse flush.
Golden State’s answer
The Warriors’ comeback was built on hustle. Brandin Podziemski saved a loose ball over his head, Yaxel Lendeborg lobbed it up and Charles Bassey finished at the rim. Lendeborg finished with 17 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals, while De’Anthony Melton collected six steals.
Avdija leads Portland to 3-0
In Sacramento, Avdija scored a game-high 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting with nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks as the Trail Blazers won 110-98. He also set up one of the night’s best finishes, an alley-oop slam by Robert Williams III.
Toronto’s bench erupts
Toronto’s 148-98 rout of New York had one moment that brought the whole bench to its feet: a big-time block by Trayce Jackson-Davis. The win moved the Raptors to 2-1 in the preseason.
Haliburton’s half in Oklahoma City
Tyrese Haliburton played only one half for Indiana but still led all scorers with 24 points, making four 3-pointers and blocking two shots in 18 minutes. Oklahoma City won 114-112 in overtime.
