There are no NBA games on Tuesday, but Monday night left plenty to track: Indiana played six men, Joel Embiid and Max Strus returned, Kyrie Irving sat, Coby White debuted on a minutes limit and Jordan Goodwin left the Suns' game with a calf injury, with Wednesday's lists due Tuesday afternoon.

There are no NBA games on Tuesday, Nov. 3, which is U.S. Election Day, after all 30 teams played on Monday night. The league returns with 14 games on Wednesday, and none of those teams had filed its injury list when the league’s report updated at 12:15 a.m. ET. Teams must file by 5 p.m. local time the day before a game, which is midnight in Cairo, seven hours ahead of New York. Until then, the news is what Monday night left behind: Indiana played with six men, Joel Embiid returned, Kyrie Irving sat, Max Strus made his Clippers debut and Phoenix lost Jordan Goodwin to a calf injury.
Indiana had 10 players listed out for Monday’s game against Atlanta, and the Pacers still had to dress eight to meet the league minimum. Tyrese Haliburton (left hamstring strain), T.J. McConnell (right hamstring strain), Ivica Zubac (left ankle sprain), Johnny Furphy (right knee surgery) and Ben Sheppard (left knee surgery) were already out. The Pacers added Pascal Siakam (rest), Andrew Nembhard (cervical injury management), Aaron Nesmith (left hamstring management) and Larry Nance Jr. (illness) on the second night of a back-to-back, and Obi Toppin was ruled out with a lumbar sprain.
Then, just before tip-off, the team announced that Kelly Oubre Jr. would not play either.
Oubre and Toppin dressed to reach eight, but neither played, so six Pacers played the whole game. Jay Huff scored 22, Quenton Jackson 20, and rookie Braden Smith had 19 points and 10 assists in his first NBA start, though he cramped late and sat out the final play. Rick Carlisle said afterward that he did not believe it was a pulled muscle or a strain. “These guys all played too many minutes,” Carlisle said, and the Pacers, who are 2-6 with five straight losses, were within two points with 1:36 to play before losing 108-104. Our game recap has the details.
The players who sat out are paid about $193 million combined this season, while the six who played make about $15 million. It was the first time since Nov. 20, 2004, the day after the Pacers-Pistons brawl, that Indiana used six players, and Carlisle coached that team too. Indiana plays at Memphis on Wednesday, with a day off in between, so the rest nights should end. Which of Siakam, Nembhard and Nesmith are back will show in the list Indiana files on Tuesday afternoon.
Philadelphia upgraded Embiid from questionable to available for the game against Chicago, and he scored 15 points with 8 rebounds in 25 minutes of a 126-107 win. He had missed Saturday’s game at Charlotte with right plantar fascia management. “Plantars is a come-and-go-type of thing,” Nick Nurse said before the game. “It’s very painful if you’ve ever had it.” Nurse also said that Dominick Barlow, out with a low back stress reaction, would see a specialist on Tuesday, so the 76ers should know more about him before their trip to Detroit on Wednesday.
Dallas moved Irving from questionable to doubtful and then to out for management of his left knee, Marc Stein reported, and the Mavericks lost to Sacramento 115-100. He has now missed two games this season, his first year back from a torn ACL, and Dereck Lively II, Santi Aldama and Sergio de Larrea were also out. Dallas plays at San Antonio on Wednesday.
In Charlotte, Coby White made his season debut after missing the first seven games with a calf strain and played a little under 16 minutes in the 124-91 loss to Detroit. White said he knew his minutes number before tip-off and thinks he went past it. Kon Knueppel (left hamstring strain) and Grant Williams are still out, and Knueppel’s return is described as close. Our recap of the game is on the site.
Strus made his Clippers debut against Toronto after missing the first six games with a partial tear of the plantar fascia in his right foot.
Los Angeles is still without Brandon Ingram (right heel surgery), Bradley Beal (right knee injury management), Rui Hachimura (left quadriceps soreness), Jordan Miller (left rotator cuff surgery) and Yanic Konan Niederhauser (right Lisfranc surgery). Derrick Jones Jr. was ruled out for a second straight game after hurting his right knee against Golden State, and the Clippers host Miami on Wednesday, his next chance.
Toronto downgraded Jakob Poeltl from questionable to out with left shoulder bursitis, his second straight missed game, while Kawhi Leonard (left knee injury management) and Nate Bittle (right avulsion fracture) remain out. Scottie Barnes was upgraded from questionable to available with left hip soreness and tightness, then came up limping in the third quarter and went to the bench for a look before returning, Michael Grange reported.
The Raptors play at Denver on Wednesday.
Phoenix said Goodwin would not return to the game in San Francisco because of a right calf injury, and the Suns had not given a diagnosis or a timeline by the end of the night. Mark Williams (left shoulder surgery) remains out. Phoenix hosts Portland on Wednesday.
Golden State had Stephen Curry and Draymond Green back, but Green was ejected two minutes into the third quarter after two technical fouls on one play. The Warriors were without Gui Santos (left knee tendinitis), Brandon Williams (left quadriceps contusion), Al Horford (bilateral low back injury management), Jimmy Butler III (right ACL repair), Moses Moody (left patellar tendon repair) and Kristaps Porziņģis, who is not with the team. Golden State is off on Wednesday.
Boston at Houston: The Celtics sat Paul George for rest and Devin Carter with an illness, and Houston had Steven Adams (right soleus strain) and Clint Capela (right ankle sprain) out and Reed Sheppard (low back strain) available. Houston won 109-93, and Boston hosts Milwaukee on Wednesday.
Washington: The Wizards said guard Reece Beekman has a right AC joint injury and will be re-evaluated in about three weeks, which would be around Nov. 23. Alex Sarr (left knee soreness), Anthony Gill (low back spasms), Justin Champagnie (right foot surgery) and Tristan Vukcevic (left hip impingement) were out in the 103-94 win at Orlando.
Detroit and Orlando: The Pistons were without Jalen Duren (right hamstring strain) and Isaiah Joe (right hip contusion). The Magic are still without Paolo Banchero (right high ankle sprain), Jalen Suggs (right knee bone bruise), Jonathan Isaac, Noah Penda and Anthony Black (ankle management).
Minnesota, New Orleans and Memphis: Anthony Edwards (right knee arthroscopy) and Donte DiVincenzo (right Achilles surgery) are still out for the Timberwolves, who beat Milwaukee 112-100 with LaMelo Ball available despite a right wrist contusion. New Orleans was without Yves Missi (left knee bone bruise), Jordan Poole (left ankle) and Dejounte Murray (personal reasons), and Memphis was without Scotty Pippen Jr. (low back soreness) and Quinten Post (right ankle sprain) in the Pelicans’ 135-134 overtime win.
New York and Utah: Jose Alvarado was cleared for the Knicks after a left ankle sprain. Jaren Jackson Jr. (right MCL tear) and Jusuf Nurkić (right foot) are still out for Utah, and Tobias Harris (left calf strain) and Jayden Quaintance are out for San Antonio.
Wednesday’s lists, due from every team by 5 p.m. local time, will settle whether Indiana gets anyone back at Memphis, whether Jones can play against Miami, how Poeltl and Barnes are listed at Denver, and how Goodwin’s calf looks before Phoenix hosts Portland. Monday’s injury report has the full run of Monday’s statuses, and the injuries page tracks every team’s latest list.
