Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Otega Oweh left Tuesday’s preseason game against Indiana with an apparent leg injury, The Oklahoman reported. He needed assistance leaving the court and did not put weight on his right foot as he headed toward the locker room.

The injury occurred during overtime of Oklahoma City’s 114-112 win, according to the report by Justin Martinez and Jeff Patterson.

Diagnosis and timetable remain unconfirmed

The report describes an apparent leg injury, not a confirmed diagnosis. It does not establish how long Oweh will be out or whether he will be available when the regular season begins. Those questions remain open pending a medical update.

Oweh was selected with the 41st pick in June’s draft. The immediate concern is his health rather than a change in his roster role. Leaving a preseason game with assistance does not, by itself, establish the injury’s severity or a recovery schedule.
