Yaxel Lendeborg returned late in the third quarter after a left ankle scare against the Lakers. His next-game availability is not confirmed.

Yaxel Lendeborg returned to the Warriors’ preseason game against the Lakers after briefly leaving with a left ankle issue on Tuesday. NBC Bay Area reported that the rookie went to the locker room in the third quarter, returned near the end of that period and did not play in the fourth.
After Golden State’s 101-89 win in Las Vegas, Lendeborg said the injury was “not as bad as it looked,” according to the postgame report. “I think I’ll be all right,” he said. “We’ll see how it feels tomorrow.”
Lendeborg’s comments are his assessment after the game, not a confirmed medical diagnosis or a promise of availability for the next game. The reports do not give a recovery timetable or establish a new injury designation.
NBC Bay Area reported that Lendeborg finished with 17 points, tied with Brandin Podziemski for Golden State’s scoring lead. His return late in the third quarter is the confirmed playing-status development; how the ankle responds afterward remains a separate question.
The Warriors’ preseason win and Lendeborg’s health should be read separately. A brief return to the court does not, by itself, settle his condition for the regular-season opener.
