The Miami Heat placed four players on waivers Saturday, announcing the cuts of Ezra Ausar, Kylor Kelley, Gabe Madsen and Bez Mbeng in a team press release.

All four had been on Exhibit 10 contracts and are likely headed to the Sioux Falls Skyforce, Miami’s G League affiliate. Each can earn a bonus worth up to $91,000 on top of the standard G League salary by spending at least 60 days with the Skyforce.

Mbeng appeared in three preseason games for the Heat, Kelley in two and Madsen in one. Ausar, who only signed on Friday, was held out of Friday’s preseason finale against Orlando.

The cuts leave Miami with a 17-man roster: 12 players on fully guaranteed salaries, one on a partially guaranteed deal in Myron Gardner, one on a non-guaranteed contract in Nick Richards, and three players on two-way deals.

That group has a good chance of being the one the Heat open the regular season with, which is good news for Richards. His minimum salary becomes fully guaranteed on the first day of the regular season if he is still on the roster.
