Development history added October 2, 2026.
Brown’s final high-school season included a decisive finish in the Georgia Class 6A championship game. He made two free throws with 0.6 seconds remaining to give Wheeler a 59–58 victory over Pebblebrook. His title-game line included 22 points and nine rebounds, with all 12 of his free throws made. Wheeler finished that season 30–3.
At California in 2015–16, his scoring was particularly productive away from home: he averaged 18.9 points in road games and reached at least 20 in five of nine Pac-12 road contests. His season high was 27, first against Richmond and later matched at Utah. Those performances give the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year entry in his honors list some concrete context.
With the Boston Celtics, Brown tied Game 1 of the 2024 Eastern Conference finals with a three-pointer with 5.7 seconds left in regulation. Boston went on to beat Indiana 133–128 in overtime. He followed that with 40 points in Game 2.
In the NBA Finals against Dallas, Brown averaged 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists and won Finals MVP. The conference-finals performances and Finals award belong to different rounds of the same championship run.
