Oct. 23, 2026 — The first full week of November brings the season’s second NBA Cup Night, LeBron James’ first game in Cleveland as a 76er, the 2026 Mexico City Game and the start of the Cavaliers’ 2016 title anniversary. Between Wednesday, Nov. 4, and Sunday, Nov. 8, there is a Cup rally towel in Charlotte, an HBCU Night in Memphis, a replica-jersey giveaway in Phoenix and a hat for every fan at Chase Center. Here is every themed night and giveaway that week, with local and Cairo tip times.

There are no NBA games on Tuesday, Nov. 3, U.S. Election Day, and only two on Thursday, Nov. 5. The Halloween stretch that comes before this, Oct. 28 to Nov. 2, is in our Halloween week guide, and the first Cup Night on Oct. 30 has its own guide.

Every themed night, Nov. 4 to Nov. 8

Tip times come from the league schedule. Both Egypt and the U.S. are on standard time by now, so most evening games in the U.S. tip between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. Cairo time the next day.

A “ticket package” means the item or experience only comes with a special ticket bought for that game, not with a regular seat. Everything else is handed out at the doors or built into the game presentation.

Friday, Nov. 6: Cup Night 2

Nine games make up the second NBA Cup Night, all of them group-play games that count toward the knockout bracket; the groups and the full group-play calendar are in our NBA Cup groups guide. The eastern games start at 7 p.m. ET, which is 2 a.m. Saturday in Cairo, and the night ends with Trail Blazers-Lakers and Spurs-Kings at 7 p.m. PT, 5 a.m. Cairo.

Cleveland has the headline game. Philadelphia visits Rocket Arena at 7:30 p.m. ET on Prime Video, and it is LeBron James’ first game in Cleveland since he joined the 76ers. The Cavaliers’ calendar lists it as a Cup home game with no giveaway. It is also the middle stop of a three-city week for James: the 76ers play at Detroit on Wednesday and at Chicago on Sunday afternoon. His Sixers start so far is covered in our 76ers debut story.

Charlotte hands out a Hornets Cup rally towel, presented by Bank of America, for Boston’s visit, on the Cup court the team unveiled in October. It is one of eight giveaways left on the Hornets’ calendar (Hornets theme nights).

Memphis makes Thunder-Grizzlies its HBCU Night, a celebration of historically Black colleges and universities, and the giveaway is the next drop in the 191 Collabs series: Good Hippy designer merchandise, presented by Pinnacle Financial Partners (Grizzlies giveaways).

New Orleans gives a T-shirt to the first 6,000 fans for Minnesota’s visit, courtesy of Morris Bart, the first of 14 giveaway nights still to come at Smoothie King Center (Pelicans promo calendar).

Atlanta (Washington), Dallas (Utah), Milwaukee (Toronto), the Lakers (Portland) and Sacramento (San Antonio) also host Cup games that night. None of them has listed a giveaway or theme for it yet.

Saturday, Nov. 7: Nuggets and Pacers in Mexico City

The day after Cup Night, Denver and Indiana play a regular-season game at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. Tip is 4 p.m. local time (3 p.m. in Denver, 6 p.m. in Indianapolis), which is midnight between Saturday and Sunday in Cairo, and the game is on NBA TV in the U.S. It is the league’s 35th game in Mexico and the first time the Pacers have brought a regular-season game to the city. Because it falls during Día de Muertos week, the Pacers say the arena will have themed in-game elements around the holiday.

Tickets are gone. NBA México announced in June that the game was sold out, and the official experience packages are now sold out too. The league is still running a House of Legends event the night before in Colonia Juárez, with former NBA players Nenê and Danilo Gallinari. The game is on our list of the season’s 2026-27 key dates.

Saturday, Nov. 7: Cleveland starts its 2016 anniversary

A night after James’ visit, Cleveland hosts the champion Knicks at 8 p.m. ET for the first of three 10th Anniversary Celebrations of the 2016 title, the comeback from 3-1 down against Golden State. This first night has no giveaway on the calendar, and the team sells it as a themed ticket package. The other two have items for every fan: a 2016 championship mini banner against Dallas on Nov. 14, and a Matthew Dellavedova bobblehead when the Warriors visit on Dec. 12 (Cavaliers promo schedule).

Phoenix holds ORIGINATIV Night against Houston, honoring Arizona’s 22 Tribal Nations. The first 5,000 fans get an artist-collaboration Originativ replica jersey, courtesy of Gila River Resorts and Casinos, which makes it one of the best giveaways of the month (Suns theme nights). Three nights earlier, on Wednesday against Portland, the Suns mark Día de los Muertos with a Sugar Skull shot glass for the first 5,000 fans 21 and older.

Golden State gives a Warriors hat to every fan at the Magic game, presented by Cache Creek Casino Resort. The same night is the Warriors’ Native American Heritage Night, with a special item for group-ticket buyers, two nights after their Pride Night package against Miami (Warriors giveaways).

Wednesday and Sunday

Detroit opens the week with NBA Foundation Night when Philadelphia visits on Wednesday; it is a theme night without a listed giveaway (Pistons giveaways). On Sunday, the Bulls hand out the first hat in their Artist Hat Series, presented by BMO, for the 76ers’ 2:30 p.m. CT matinee, which is 10:30 p.m. in Cairo; the second hat comes against Cleveland on Nov. 23. Dallas closes the week with a Pride Night ticket package for Brooklyn’s visit (Mavericks theme nights).

Before you go

Giveaways for the first 5,000 or 6,000 fans run out fast on Friday and Saturday nights, so arrive when doors open, usually 60 to 90 minutes before tip. Teams can add Cup Night promotions late, and several hosts have not posted plans for Nov. 6 yet, so check the team or arena game page on the day. Veterans Day week follows, with Hoops for Troops and military nights across the league from Nov. 9.
